       Unbroken Thread: 2025February 20th, 2025 | CBCAC Co-hosted by KANWIN and HerArt Foundation and sponsored by CBCAC, Unbroken Thread project continues in 2025. Using zippers and discarded fabrics, participants will create artworks that represent immigration stories, fostering connection and resonance within the Asian American immigrant community. The zipper symbolizes the layer of diversity immigrants add but also the struggles experienced by first-generation immigrants.

       Revival: HaeBok WorkshopApril 1st, 2025 | KANWIN Co-hosted by KANWIN and HerArt Foundation, HaeBok is an art therapy workshop raising awareness for Asian Hate and uplift the voice and resilience of the Asian American community. With repurposed garments and fabrics, participants will be creating artworks with the steps of reckoning, ritual and rooting. We hope to recognize the narratives of the female immigrants and build a safe community where Hate Speech is not tolerated.

       AAPI Heritage Month Art WorkshopMay 4th, 2025 | Heritage Museum of Asian Art Co-hosted by Heritage Museum of Asian Art and HerArt Foundation, artist Sona Kim will be hosting “Making Mobile” art workshop for the Asian American Heritage Month. Participants will be using repurposed fabrics to create fabric mobiles, expressing their heritage with environment friendly processes. This workshop is funded by the Healing Illinois Grant 2025.

       Stitching Stories: The First ThreadJune 14th ~ June 22nd, 2025 | Heritage Museum of Asian Art Hosted by Heritage Museum of Asian Art, HerArt Foundation, Needles and Thread, and Abrahamic Center bring together Asian and Black artists whose works explore cultural exchange, storytelling, and visions of shared futures through textile arts. This exhibition grew out of series of six community workshops, where artists engaged directly with participants through textile-making, storytelling, and relationship building.
